Electric Vehicle Charging
Vehicle charging points situated throughout the District.
General Information
Electric vehicle users in East Lindsey have access to 22 dual vehicle charging points at a number of car parks throughout the District.
The dual vehicle charge points are located at Kiln Lane and Northgate East (both Louth); Station Road, Queens Park Main and Seacroft Road (all Mablethorpe); Marine Avenue (Sutton on Sea); Lawn Park, Princes Parade and Swimming Pool (all Skegness); Post Office Lane (Spilsby); The Broadway (Woodhall Spa); High Street/Silver Street (Coningsby); The Bain (Horncastle).
Each car park with EV charge points has information displayed on the Regulations Boards advising a pay and display ticket must be purchased and actively charging. If your vehicle does not require charging please do not use the bay. Standard charges and regulations apply in all other parking bays.
The installation of the charge points has been part funded through the Government's On street Residential Charge point Scheme, which the District Council successfully secured £95,000 from. The remainder of the funding, around £40,000, has been provided by East Lindsey District Council.
The District Council made the move to install the charge points in response to an increase in electric vehicle ownership across the UK and district wide. It's also hoped that the move will encourage more residents to explore the possibility of owning an electric vehicle, as well as making the area more accessible to visitors who drive electric vehicles.
