Our Housing Advice team work closely with landlords to ensure they know their rights and responsibilities. We can give advice on a variety of housing issues.
Domestic abuse is the abuse of someone within an intimate or family relationship. It is the repeated, random and habitual use of intimidation to control another person - usually a partner, ex-partner or other family member. There are different forms of abuse, but if your relationship leaves you feeling scared, intimidated or controlled, it's possible you are in an abusive relationship.
You can still be homeless even if you have a roof over your head
If you think you will be made homeless after discharge from the services, you must contact the Council's Housing Hub team. You should obtain a letter of discharge or other evidence that confirms the date of your discharge, as you may need to present this.
Winter can be an expensive time of the year with heating and electricity costs rising along with the extra expense that Christmas brings. It is important to make sure you are receiving all the help you are entitled to.
