Organisation and Role: Mablethorpe and Sutton CCT - Chair of the Sutton on Sea Residents Association

Specialist areas: Fundraising, Editor of Magazines

Adrian is Chair of the Sutton on Sea Residents Association, a group which meets at the Bacchus each month to focus on key local topics. It is led by a strong steering committee which again meets monthly. For a year he was a fundraiser for the Sutton-on-Sea & Trusthorpe Carnival & then for two years was its committee's chair. He then used this experience to chair a group which brought back the Carnival to Mablethorpe. He was able to do this as he had become chair of the Boatshed Charity. When the Coastal Community Team was set up by the Mablethorpe Area Partnership he became Secretary of both bodies.

With the help of the media project Coastal Breeze & the websites www.mablethorpe.info & www.suttononsea.info a network of communications has been built up & this has involved Adrian editing the magazine TROVE which is taken out by volunteers from the Residents Association to every door in Sutton-on-Sea, &, on alternate months, the magazine TIDINGS which is distributed throughout Mablethorpe

In 2019 Adrian became a town councillor. He currently chairs the council's Events Working Party, and is vice-chair of the Acre Gap Conservation Area Working Party, & represent the council on the Young Persons Forum. In the same local elections he secured, by a majority of almost 500, a position on the District Council where he currently serves as a member of the Audit & Governance Committee.
