Mark is the Chief Executive of Magna Vitae Trust for Leisure & Culture. Magna Vitae works primarily as a strategic and delivery partner to East Lindsey District Council advising and providing local leisure, physical activity, health and wellbeing facilities and services to support local people to lead healthier, fulfilled and active lives. In doing so the trust also partners with Arts Council England as one of their National Portfolio Organisations, with Louth and District Hospice and with North East Lincolnshire Council.
The trust operates facilities and services locally including the Horncastle Pool & Fitness Suite; Meridian Leisure Centre - Louth; Skegness Pool & Fitness Suite; Altitude44 Skegness; Station Sports Centre - Mablethorpe; Café Magna; Embassy Theatre Skegness; SO Festival; East Lindsey Events Safety Advisory Group... and much more.
Mark has a wealth of experience of improvement and transformation of local government services having developed and implemented several change projects. He has a MA in Leisure Management from the University of Sheffield which has helped him lead in the management and delivery of community leisure services with the early part of his career spent in front line service delivery, including the training of staff; and the latter in strategic management positions. He is also the director of Lincolnshire Coastal Destination BID and a trustee of Skegness Sports Association & Louth Sports Association.
