Fotherby

Fotherby received £800 from the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Parish Council Grants Scheme the funds were used towards toilet hire, the ukulele band, and the children's entertainer for events over the Jubilee weekend.

Thursday 2 June - lighting of the registered beacon with a prosecco toast to the Queen at the appointed hour when all the other beacons will simultaneously be lit. Musical accompaniment from bagpipes. 

Friday 3 June - afternoon gala for the entire village at a neighbourhood farm generously housing the event. The villagers have been helping in making vintage games to play, building and running an ice cream stand, face painting, refreshments, arts and crafts for children, tombola and many other activities. The main attractions/expenses will be a ukulele band hire for £250, a top rated children's entertainer hired for £250, and toilet hire for £300.

Saturday 4 June - vintage tractor run through the village followed by a village-wide fish and chip supper and viewing of vintage vehicles on the main field. Entertainment provided by Morris men. 

Sunday 5 June - re enactment of the coronation hosted at local Brackenborough Hall followed by a service and picnic on the grounds of this lovely country estate.
