Community Creativity in the Spotlight as Horncastle's Window Wanderland Returns
A press release from Horncastle Window Wanderland

The streets of Horncastle will again become a magical outdoor gallery when more than 50 homes, shops, and businesses will decorate windows to create a Window Wanderland from December 8-11, 5.30pm-9pm.
Window Wanderlands have been held across the country from Bristol to Glasgow, Ely, and Frome - but Horncastle became the first town in Lincolnshire to take part in 2021.
The event has now become an annual showcase for Horncastle's creativity as well as a way to bring the whole community together. Young and old alike have been lending a hand. With parents saying how much their kids have loved being able to get crafty to help create the windows.
Horncastle's creative businesses are also getting involved from florists to craft and antique shops, and even an artisan jewellers. A highlight last year was the window featuring a Lancaster bomber made by the team at Age UK Lindsey's offices and they have nearly finished their new design for this year.
Organisations across the town are giving their support, including Horncastle's community-run museum at the Joseph Banks Centre, the Tiny Tots playgroup, Clarence House care home, and users of the Wong Day Service.
With windows to explore throughout Horncastle's historic town streets the trail is a great excuse to wrap up warm and go for a stroll, or to stop off for a hot chocolate or a spot of Christmas shopping.
The finale on Sunday, December 11 also coincides with the return of Horncastle's popular Christmas Market, which will take over the whole town centre as the streets are closed to make way for stalls, rides and food stalls.
Here are the details of all the windows to visit or you can pick up free paper maps from the Joseph Banks Centre on Bridge Street or the Library on Wharf Road, as well as in shops across town.
The volunteer organisers would like to thank everyone who is taking part as well as East Lindsey District Council for a small grant to help promote the event.
