Animal Welfare Licence - Request for Re-Rating
Animal welfare licence holders have a right to request a re-visit with a view to obtaining a new and higher star rating at any time, provided that they have made the required improvements to resolve the non-compliances and/or risks identified at the time of the licensing inspection.
There is no limit on the number of requests for re-visits that can be made. However, there will be a fee for each visit. The fee for requesting a re-visit is £180.00. Please note that this fee is non-refundable.
To request a re-visit, please fill in the revisit request form. You must provide sufficient evidence in your request to show that the required improvements have been made. Please email or post all supporting evidence (i.e. documents and photographs) to the Licensing Team at:
The payment can be made to the Licensing Team by debit or credit card over the telephone during office hours or by cheque made payable to East Lindsey District Council. Any requested re-visit will not be made until payment has been received.
We will make an unannounced visit within three months of receipt of the request.
You will receive a 'new' star rating based on the level of compliance that is found at the time of the re-visit. You should be aware that your rating could go up, down or remain the same.
