Financial support for those affected by Storm Babet
The following financial support arrangements are being offered to households / businesses where internal flooding is evident when contacts are made;
Community Recovery Grant - £500 grant per eligible household. Funded by the Government via the Flood Recovery Framework; delivered by East Lindsey District Council.
Which households will be eligible?
Primary residences that were internally flooded as result of Storm Babet where:
o Flood water entered into the habitable areas of the residence; or
o Flood water did not enter into habitable areas, but the local authority regards that the residence was otherwise considered unliveable for a period of time
o Second homes and empty homes will not be eligible

Council Tax Discount - If you had to move out of your primary residence and it is unliveable as a result of flooding during Storm Babet you could be eligible for 100% discount on Council tax for at least three months. Please contact our Council Tax team, on 01507 601111 or email counciltax@e-lindsey.gov.uk.
Business Rates Relief Scheme - If your business premises were flooded during Storm Babet you could be eligible for 100% rate relief for a minimum of three months. Please contact our Business Rates team on 01507 601111 or email businessrates@e-lindsey.gov.uk
