POSTED ON BEHALF OF LINCOLNSHIRE POLICE AND CRIME PANEL
The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has this morning (Thursday 9 November) published the Operation Motala executive summary, which can be read here: https://www.policeconduct.gov.uk/publications/operation-motala-executive-summary.
Following the publication, Lincolnshire Police and Crime Panel has issued the following response:
Statement from Chris Cook, Independent Chair of Lincolnshire Police and Crime Panel:
"We are pleased to see this important and necessary report published for the public to be able to read and understand for themselves.
"We are grateful to the IOPC for conducting a full and professional investigation, that uncovers the truth of what occurred during a previous selection process for Lincolnshire's Chief Constable.
"As a panel we will take the contents of the report extremely seriously and will note all comments received from relevant parties. We will be holding an extraordinary meeting later this month to scrutinise the report's contents and reach our conclusions. We will not be commenting further on the matter until after this meeting has taken place."
