East Lindsey District Council is hosting a drop-in event to help residents prepare for the cold winter months ahead.

The Beat Your Winter Worries event is taking place on Wednesday 27 November, from 10am to 2pm at the Trinity Centre in Louth. The council's sustainable warmth team will be providing in-person support for residents on a host of winter issues, including improving energy efficiency, help with heating systems, staying warm this winter, managing/reducing bills, and maintaining positive wellbeing and mental health.

Residents in East Lindsey are encouraged to attend this event for free in-person advice, as well as discussion about applying for grants or funding as the weather gets colder. The Council's Energy Retrofit and Information Clinic van (ERIC) will also be there, to show home improvement measures regarding insulation, lighting, solar panels, heat pumps and more.

East Lindsey District Council is joined at this event by our partners at Lincolnshire Good Home Alliance, Wellbeing Lincolnshire, and others to offer a wide variety of in-person support at this drop-in event.

Anyone can attend this event by visiting the Trinity Centre on Eastgate (LN11 8DJ) and please do bring along your family, friends, and anyone else who may benefit from additional support this winter. Refreshments will be available throughout the day.

Councillor Graham Marsh, Portfolio Holder for Community Safety, Leisure and Culture, and Carbon Reduction, said: "I am very pleased that Beat Your Winter Worries is offering support for all residents of East Lindsey this winter.

"With the temperatures falling at this time of year, I am delighted that the Council's sustainable warmth team is hosting an inclusive drop-in event, allowing anyone to access the support they need. I also wish to extend my gratitude to Lincolnshire Good Home Alliance, Wellbeing Lincolnshire and all other organisations attending, for coming together at the Trinity Centre to provide this amazing support network.

"If you or a loved one are worried about the coming winter months, please consider taking advantage of the help and advice this event has to offer."
