Housing Strategy and Affordable Housing
Strategic housing provides a clear direction on the type and level of affordable housing provision that is required across the district. We aim to ensure that we enable the right kind of housing to tackle unmet affordable housing demand.
One of our Corporate Strategy priorities is to "Help enable a supply of homes that meet needs and aspirations". This includes affordable housing.
We want to enable a supply of well designed, safe and suitable affordable homes in the right place whether it be for families, older people or those with more individual needs.
We work with providers to deliver new affordable housing across the district.
