Chairman of the District Council

The Chairman is a civic role and is similar to a Mayor in that the Chairman of the Council is the first representative of the District.

The current Chairman of the Council is Councillor Edward Mossop.

The role is ceremonial and has no decision-making responsibilities, and is not the same as the role of an Elected Mayor which exists in some parts of the UK.

The current Vice-Chairman of the Council is Councillor Terry Taylor.

The Chairman's activities and engagements are looked after by the Civic Officer who is based at The Hub, Mareham Road, Horncastle LN9 6PH.  The Civic Office can be contacted by emailing: committeeadmin@e-lindsey.gov.uk or by telephoning 01507 613423.
