Event Organisation
Our vision is to encourage innovative, high profile events, with regional, national and international appeal, run to the highest possible standards.
The management and operation of leisure and cultural services in the East Lindsey district has transferred to Magna Vitae Trust for Leisure and Culture.
The advice, guidance and support service previously provided to event organisers by our Events Team, as well as the administration and delivery of the East Lindsey Events Safety Advisory Group (ELESAG) has also been transferred to Magna Vitae.
If you are planning an event in our district you will be required to submit an Event Notification Form to Magna Vitae, if not already submitted by visiting https://magnavitae.org/event-support/ . Once Magna Vitae have your completed form, you will be required to provide any further information requested by them and to engage with the Safety Advisory Group process if required. After completion of any processes or if you decline to engage with them, the Council reserve the right to withdraw permission for use of its land/premises should it have concerns.
Event Safety
Support regarding event planning, permissions, road closures etc. is available on the www.lincolnshireresilienceforum.org/events/. This includes templates for Event Management Plans and Risk Assessments.
Please note: We have a statutory duty to enforce relevant statutory provisions. We will always try to make sure you have been well advised and are aware of any requirements before the event. However, ultimately, it is your responsibility, as event organisers, to comply with all legal requirements.
