Planning Fees
Please note the planning application fees will be increasing from 1st April 2025. We charge a fee for dealing with most types of planning applications.
Central government set the fees and these can change every year. You can download a list of the current fees and some helpful guidance below.

Planning Application Fee Increase
Legislative changes have now been confirmed setting out the following coming into effect from 6th December 2023;
- Planning Application Fees will increase by 25% across the board, with a 35% increase for applying to major schemes
- An annual increase of application fees in line with inflation (and capped at 10%), every April, is introduced from 2025
- A new fee is being introduced for Prior Approval Applications for development by the Crown on a closed defence estate.

These new fees will apply to applications received from 1st April 2025. Any application submitted up to close of business hours on 31st March 2025 will still be accepted under the current fee charges.
