Holton le Clay Neighbourhood Development Plan

On the 2nd November 2022 the Council agreed to 'Make' the Holton le Clay Neighbourhood Plan pursuant to the provisions of section 38(A)(4) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.

The Holton le Clay Neighbourhood Plan Area application was approved on 8th January 2013. The Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group in conjunction with Holton le Clay Parish Council prepared their Neighbourhood Plan and submitted it to the Council in 2018.

The document was publicised for six weeks until 26th April 2018 before being reviewed by an independent examiner. An independent Inspector was appointed on 9th October 2018 to carry out an examination of the Plan to ensure that it met the Basic Conditions and to determine whether the Plan should proceed to referendum. Following the independent examination of the Holton le Clay Neighbourhood Plan, East Lindsey District Council determined that the plan, as modified to incorporate the Examiner's recommendations, should proceed to a Referendum.

The referendum was passed on 6th May 2021 and with the Council agreeing to 'make' the Holton le Clay Neighbourhood Plan pursuant to the provisions of section 38(A)(4) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 it now forms part of that authority's Development Plan, meaning that it will be a material consideration when deciding development proposals within the area covered by the Plan.
