Dog Fouling
The Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime & Policing Act 2014 provides Councils with the powers to deal with people who fail to clean up their dog mess.
Our level of Fixed Penalty for dog fouling is currently set at £100.00. If you are issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice you must pay the amount due within 14 days. If you fail to pay the amount due, the matter will be referred to our solicitor.
If you can help us to identify anyone who lets their dog foul in public areas please use the report form.
Please be advised that this may require you to submit a formal witness statement which we can use to support any further action we may need to take.
Our Environmental Crime Officers regularly patrol the District and will take action to deal with dog fouling hotspots.
