Food Sampling
We regularly take samples of food for analysis to monitor the safety of foods being sold in the District.
We undertake food sampling to ensure that food on sale is fit for human consumption and satisfies safety requirements demanded by the consumer.
Wherever possible, food sampling activities include current national, regional and locally co-ordinated programmes as well as samples taken as a result of:
Complaints;
Process monitoring;
Inspections;
Home Authority Principle activities;
Special investigations.
