Report a Housing Standards Issue

The Housing Standards Department deal mainly with complaints regarding poor housing conditions in order to improve the living standards across the district.

Prior to reporting any concerns to the Council you must ensure that the issues have been reported to your landlord, preferably in writing, and that they have been given a reasonable period of time to respond, and address your concerns.  If you have reported the issue to your landlord and this has not resolved the problem you can use the link below to report this to the Council.  We can then contact your landlord on your behalf.

Please be aware that the Housing Standards team do not deal with complaints where this is caused by a neighbouring property, such as issues with water leaks from that property that may be causing damp issues in your own property, or where an overgrown or poorly kept garden is causing an issue with yourself.  Any such complaints must be directed to the Environmental Protection team.

You should also be aware that before any investigation can be carried out, the full details of the landlord or agent must be provided and the tenant must confirm that they grant permission for the Council to contact them.  We will then contact your landlord with the details of your complaint to ensure that these issues are dealt with as soon as possible.

In order to deal with your complaint in the most effective way we may share your details with the Lincolnshire Good Home Alliance who would contact you on behalf of the Council.  By completing this form you are agreeing to your information being shared in this way.

  • Details of the tenant and, where possible, the landlord or letting agency.
